思い出の映画の一つ、買って良かったです。

ヒットしたフットルース。もう忘れている人も多いと思うが、この映画からヒットした名曲は多数ある。

小学校の高学年か、中学生の頃に観たはずです。当時深夜のＭＴＶ等で、挿入歌のビデオクリップが流れてたんですよね。レンタルを探しても、ビデオテープしか無かったので、探してましたが、金額も安くなったと言う事で購入しました。

この映画は、当時1日で最高3回見たし延べ10回以上見た記憶がある。 当時はビデオも高級品で映画全盛期。これ見たらアメリカに憧れたあの時代を思い出すに違いない！！

【Getting whipped in the Bible Belt】 The best thing about this movie is the music, although it is a little "old" now. You can't help but move your feet when you hear the music, especially the theme song "Footloose". All you see is dancing feet and the different shoe styles. John Lithgow plays Reverend Moore, who believes rock and roll music leads to dancing which leads to fornication. Also when there is dancing there is drinking and drugs. So says Rev. Moore. The town has banned dancing ever since there was a car wreck about 5 years ago that killed Rev. Moore's oldest son. Lithgow plays the preacher quite well and very believable. Also, near the end he accepts that he was wrong about his view on dancing, although he was helped to see the light by his wife, Vi, played by Dianne Wiest. The plot of this movie is pretty predictable but entertaining and interesting. It shows the importance of fighting for your rights to experience things like dancing or what some people deem objectionable books. The dance scenes are very fun, and they were my favorite parts of the movie. One of the best things about Footloose in my opinion is the soundtrack. I also like most of the songs that play in the film, among them "Let's Hear It For the Boy," "Holding Out For a Hero," "Never," and "Almost Paradise." The actors do fine jobs, but I especially liked Kevin Bacon and John Lithgow. Bacon plays a likeable protagonist the audience can root for, and he also gets to show off his dancing skills throughout the film. Lithgow shows that Rev. Moore is just trying to do what he thinks is best for his daughter and the other teens of the town. But sometimes you have to just let your children make their own decisions. Footloose is a fun teen dance movie, but I do have a complaint about the DVD. There are no special features at all, so you won't be getting anything extra. If you like the film, I also recommend picking up the soundtrack.★★★★★
